ReActivate+

ReActívate+ is an initiative for fomenting public involvement in favour of environmental sustainability based on Global Action Plan. This project is a continuation of the Actívate+ programme that was held between 2012 and 2018. Actívate+ involved over 4,000 households, 112 local authorities, 66 schools and colleges, and three universities, with more than 57,000 people taking part.

ReActívate + is a programme designed to engage the public at large with a view to changing people’s lifestyle habits and promoting sustainability in Euskadi-The Basque Country.  The project is to be implemented between 2018 and 2021. It targets households, schools and the university community, involving three specific free schemes that will be held in parallel.

The programme is being developed by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia in partnership with the Basque Government, the Bilbao Bizkaia Waterboard, the Bizkaia Public Transport Consortium (CTB), Metro Bilbao, the Eroski Group, and ”La Caixa” Foundation, being based on Global Action Plan (GAP). Bilbao Metropoli-30 is one of the programme’s partners.

Those households wishing to enrol in the programme may do so free of charge through its website at www.reactivatemas.eus. Once they have enrolled, the platform will use a few straightforward questions to assess the sustainability of their everyday habits, and it will then propose a series of small and simple steps that will reduce the negative effects these may have, doing so by means of some practical handbooks. Bilbao Metropoli 30’s code is 64010, which needs to be specified when enrolling on the platform.

On 25 June 2019 the follow-up commission meets at Metro Bilbao.
